Syracuse Show

Bonnie & Pat did a show a couple of weeks ago in Syracuse NY while I was home getting ready for our show in Texas.  Pat took some pics on his phone, and we finally figured out how to get them on our blog.  The things we brought to sell, were things that we needed to blow-out, so our prices were slashed & they just about sold everything!

Of course we never just sell at a show....we were able to buy some pretty awesome stuff, too!  We already have those things packed for Marburger.  I'll be sure to take plenty of pics while were there for you, but I really hope you'll be able to come down and enjoy the show for yourselves!

Plumbing Sign

A while back I was going to show you this sign that we got, but I never got around to it.  We bought a few things out of a friend's barn about a month ago, and when Pat went to pick the stuff up, he uncovered this cool plumbing sign.  We both loved it, and got a good deal on it.  Pat added the metal frame around it, and guess where we hung it???  - right in our bathroom!  Who doesn't need a "Used Plumbing" sign right above the toilet???  Hahahahahah!

Gotta go - so much to do - so little time!

Happy Spring!

I always know that spring is just around the corner when Pat & Bonnie head outside for a bunch of pussywillows!  Bonnie looked so cute with Pat's old pack basket full of 'em.  Pat built the little garden shed that Bee is standing in front of for me a few years back for mother's day.  It's become the catch all for everything, but I love it!  Friends of Pat's parents gave the door to us several years ago, and he built this 8x8 around it.  Cute-cute!

Bye for now!

Getting Ready for TEXAS!

Hey y'all!  Even though we're from New York,  the "y'alls" are starting to fly out of my mouth now because we're getting so excited to head south for the Round Top show at Marburger!  Yahoo!  It's so much fun!  Pat's been so busy in the barn with projects, and I've been busy inside with a few of my own.

A couple weeks after our show at Marburger, we're setting up at the Country Living Fair in Austin.  I made these magnets for that show.  They were fun to do, but man they took a long time!  I made a total of 500 of them.

Yesterday it actually got close to 70 degrees up here, so I was able to take the magnets outside to varnish them.  Later in the afternoon, I brought them in so they could dry completely, and stuck them to anything that was metal.  My poor frig is just overloaded with them!

They're made out of some large wooden barrel stoppers that we got a long time ago.  I drilled out holes in the backs for the magnets, and used all kinds of fun vintage paper for the fronts, like maps from a late 1800's atlas, play money that Pat had when he was a kid, pages from an old french novel that I stenciled large letters on, bingo cards, and pictures from vintage magazines.

It was a lot of fun, but I'm so glad to have that project done!  Now time to start on a new one!

We're doing an antique show in Syracuse NY this weekend.  I'll be helping Pat & Bonnie set up, and then I'll be going home to get ready for Texas while they do the show.  I'll try to remember to take some pictures for you.

Later gator!

What a Guy!

I walked in the door a little while ago from shopping, and just looky at the pur-dee arrangement that was sitting on the table waiting for me!  I think these little snowdrop flowers popped up a lot sooner than usual.  I love this old chicken feeder that he put them in!

Let's all try to remember to keep our friend Tot in our prayers...sounds like her area is in for some more tornados.  I'm so worried for her, but I was reading this morning in 1st Peter 1:5a "...who through faith are shielded by God's power..."  I don't think that verse was talking about the weather, but I'm claiming it for Tot & her family anyways, and I'm praying that the Lord protects & shields them with His great power!

Talk to you again soon!

Tornado in Kentucky

I was going to blog today about a sign that we just got, but when I read TOT's blog, my heart just dropped & I didn't feel right about blogging about something so trivial.  When something like that happens, you really start to think about what's important in life.  God bless & care for those people in Kentucky who lost so much.  Our thoughts & prayers are with them all.
